would anybody believe me if I said that a popular car magazine has already taken interest in this project? expect this thing on the front cover when it's done. there are so many tiny details on this 68 that you would never notice them unless I pointed them out. All the way down to custom machined door handles to match the interior chrome trim pieces. Those are custom rims by the way. $2000 hand designed set. Hydro dipped guage cluster and speaker mount.  Over $50k has gone into this so far.

I can definitely believe it. Restomods always attract a fair amount of attention (both good, and sadly some bad). Looking good man, hope the rest isn't a huge headache; I effin hate dealing with body work.

No one believes my stuff so here's some other BS that people that aren't me might care about:

Time attack car project @ "Hiding Spot Alpha" (has been sold)

mexico shit from a few weeks ago

Vtines day BS from a friend's shop and their team car

Recently repayed a debt to a good friend of mine so "assisted" with a cam belt service on his Ducati

Also helped him with another bear of a job which I won't get into details of currently, haha.

I'm In the process of finding a body shop/competent body person to get some repairs done on my S2K so I can sell this thing; Still a blast to drive but there's just WAY too much stuff going on right now for me to focus on it. Had it up for sale for a short while and dumb fucks just kept lowballing me and talking about the arguably minor cosmetic stuff and then I also got blasted by rocks so I'm going to attempt to get it fixed the right way.

Got other stuff I need to sell and 2 shells I need to finish parting out, headache headache headache.

I'm basically selling everything I own, actually.

Bought a fuckload of parts for the new daily (mostly maintenance), gearing up to do all that work.

I would like to own a new Yukon.
Why would you pick that over the Tahoe or Surburban? I never liked the GMC styled SUVs

dropped it off today, let's see how this goes.

why is life so hard

sigh

gotta have that denali son

Oh jeez. Ltz, denali, basically the same thing
I like the look of the Yukon better but yes pretty much same thing
No pics but I picked up a rusty TVR 3000GT cheap the other day, hoping to get her going over the summer.
Custom fabbed exhaust. Turn downs in the back. It's loud as fuck. Sitting in idle just shakes the entire car. Drove it down the street with no front bumper or fenders.

My Camaro that I posted a year ago is still stock, but I've somehow managed to rack up 45,000 miles in a little over a year. The new 2017 ZL1 Camaro looks beautiful.

Sky, I can't wait to see finished pictures. It looks badass already. Let us know if you're featured in that magazine!

Damn dude, this has come along way. Good work

Sitting at 11k miles on my truck and almost had it a year and a half. At this rate I'll put less than 40k on it by the time I have it paid off. Also I was eyeballing the Z06 they had sitting there.. so pretty. Only 87k too. Thought those went for like to 100k easily
Camaro is going on the dyno Monday.  Fully built LS1 so it should make good power. Base power is rated at 350 so I'm hoping for 425-450? I haven't opened it up but it's ready to. Just giving it a little gas and it gets going quick. 305s in the rear so no shortage of traction.

decided to gut my 240 and grab a rolling chassis, dont know if i want to throw in a SR while the motors out or just boost the KA until it explodes

still waiting on my slack ass mechanic to bring my car to me

FUCK. Dyno almost went really bad. Everything was looking good at first. Got it up to 6000rpm at 414rwhp and it flatlined. Aftermarket rocker arms flooded it so we backed off. Already ordered OEM ones. With how far we got on the first ru  I think it safe to say it puts out 430rwhp and 450ft lb of torque.

Ouch, hope nothing else internal got damaged. Not to sound like a smartass/know it all because I know most won't believe me; with a decent cam and other bolt ons that's about what I would have guessed. Still on the stock PCM or are you using HPTuners/Some other form of tuning?

Blackout, pls no. Or do, then throw  the shell up on CL for 6K because that's where things have progressed. I'm a big fan of the KA and have made power with them but if the SR is cheap enough to get your hands on, that could go either way.

Got all kinds of BS going on still, not going to bore with my details. Need to put some more stuff up for sale; my spring cleaning going pretty well so far.

It's still stock, but it will be tuned. Not with a flash but an actual fine tune. Nothing damaged internally thanks jebus.
Long time coming I'm sure. Now time to enjoy it yes
Over 5 years. Sat as a rust bucket in my backyard for 20 years. About $50k later it's finally done.

Funny you say that LOL. Check your PM. That sat maybe a fraction of the time,  but I definitely know the feeling...

being done = slight feelsgoodman
Over $100 for a new horn to be installed in my Jetta.... nah I don't need it that bad. And I never really drive it anymore

it took 1st already in a car show in the modified class. coming out strong.

Been looking at videos of people who have corvettes and stumbled upon this guy who has a 2016 Z06 and he's only 22. Makes me so jealous

Just got a recall on the air bags in my vehicle. It's a 2008 CRV.

Apparently no ones allowed to ride in the passenger seat until the fix becomes available. SMH

kind of reminds me of seeing a bunch of people in mattoon driving new yukon denalis and escalades. At least they look new.

I'm willing to bet most are financed out the ass.

I set a personal goal several years ago of buying a corvette when I turn 30 but I now realize how much better it would be to own a home.

btw last week I paid my truck off a year early. In the 4 years I've owned have only changed wiper blades once and put on new set of tires this winter. That's it. However, the mp3 jack is fucking up tho so not sure wtf that's going to take to get fixed. Bitch still has warranty so we'll see.
Congrats. I'm on the way to paying off my second vehicle and yeh; owning a house would be a better goal.
They probably are financed out the ass. Those cars are easily 60k.. it's nuts.

I'm struggling with all this debt I got from this house renovation. Shit sucks man but at least I know now to not put myself in that position again. But if everything goes well i should have it all paid off by next April. Then I can start paying my Jetta and truck off faster and have my truck paid off by Sept of 2018 which would be right before 4 years. Then depending how things go, planning on buying a cheap house and having my family member who is a contractor gut it and fix it up. It will look way better than any houses around here for way cheaper. Then get a base model stingray.. Z06 will have to wait

Congrats. I'm on the way to paying off my second vehicle and yeh; owning a house would be a better goal.

yeah my top goal right now is to eventually build a house but owning one is just a notch lower
