Doing a study on Halo Fans (plz help its for my degree)

Hey pals

I'm a gamer who's played Halo (before you ask 3 is my fave for obvious reasons) for as long as I remember, and I'm lucky enough to be doing a study on video games at university (I know right). Basically just wanted to ask 'why did you choose to join The Halo Forum?' - I would be mad grateful for any replies to this thread

(the boring stuff now)

The study I'm doing is basically to find out why people use community forums online, with a special focus on online gaming (as that's what interest me, and is probably the most important type of forum culturally right now in terms of research). Any responses will be anonymous, and you'll all get pseudonyms in the final paper.

If you don't mind giving me like 1-2 minutes of your time I have a 10 question survey here:

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7JCY8W3

It's super quick and easy! If you have any questions about the study, me, life, the universe please PM me!

(this is quite important to my degree and I know I can rely on gamers to get stuff done)

massive thank you! (sorry for posting in two topics I wanna graduate)

Preferring Halo 3 is not obvious considering it blows.

Also your link doesn't work.

I've updated the link (it's here too just in case https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7JCY8W3  )

why do you think Halo 3 blows?

Maps were too big, I hated the "extras" they added as perks/advantages, and in general was too attached to Halo 2 to accept anything new.

Ah that's fair! 3 was my first game and I worked my way backwards (then forwards) so I've always been attached to it - that and I thought the narrative was one of the best I've ever played, the final level was always perfect to me.

But I guess that's the personal attachment we have to single games. (though I loved ODST's more gloomy mood)

Yeah my opinion is based on multiplayer only. I played campaigns but it wasn't my focus.
That's fair - coop for me was my focus. I loved playing campaign with friends, then playing endless hours on custom games with a core group of players
Well welcome to our dying community...perhaps you'll find one or two people still playing games. haha.
