Yup.
Shutter Island - 8/10 - Just saw this, I have wanted to for a while but only just got around to watching it.
One of my Uncles worked on Interstellar. He worked as a Set Designer on a couple small items that were on screen several times in the space-faring portion of the movie. And the whole Production Design team got an Oscar nomination. :D
thats really awesome! Christopher Nolan's work is always gold.
Battle of Five Armies 6/10
Love the tolkien universe, but this movie suffered from the same problem as the others
Mulholland Drive - 6/10 - too weird for me. Normally I like movies that make me think but this one just left me confused and disappointed. I guess this is one of those ones where I have to read an explanation on the internet.
Mulholland Drive isn't a movie where you want to try and "understand" everything. There are certainly some underlying themes related to Hollywood culture, but as a whole, the movie plays on emotion. The first time I watched I had no idea what was going on, but I was still fixated on the characters and what they were going through. There was just something about it that resonated with a lot of people, hence the critical acclaim.
