Name and Rate the Last Movie You Saw

Yup.

Shutter Island - 8/10 - Just saw this, I have wanted to for a while but only just got around to watching it.

Wanted to make this thread but lazy Interstellar 9.5/10 fucking loved it
Django Unchained 6.5/10 - Pretty good movie but too long.
2001:  A Space Odyssey

10/10
So like I was saying before, 9.5/10 for Akira
the interview 7.5/10
Imitation game 8.5/10 really good acting
MUD actually isn't bad at all and finally had time to watch it through Netflix. I'd give it about 8.5/10.
Dazed and Confused - SOLID 10/10.

Mulholland Drive - 6/10 - too weird for me. Normally I like movies that make me think but this one just left me confused and disappointed. I guess this is one of those ones where I have to read an explanation on the internet.

A Most Violent Year - I'll give it a 9/10. Great acting. Feels like authentic NYC in the early 80's. Noticed a bunch of train stations and streets in my neighborhood. Cinematography is on point. Sound design helps to build a real eeriness. There's a weird aura around the whole film that I enjoyed. Might not be for some but I think the protagonist makes the whole thing worth it. One or two good scares. Top five film of the year, easily. To me at least.
Super Bowl XLIX : 10/10
Lucy - 4/10. I don't really know what I was watching here.
Brokeback Mountain - 9/10

top notch acting, and a really solid plot.  That ending though...
American Sniper 9/10
The Interview, poop movie with some pretty decent comedy sprinkled on. 6.5/10
One of my Uncles worked on Interstellar. He worked as a Set Designer on a couple small items that were on screen several times in the space-faring portion of the movie. And the whole Production Design team got an Oscar nomination. :D

American Sniper. 9/10

Truly amazing film. Bradley Cooper absolutely KNOCKED it out of the ballpark with his acting, and with Clint Eastwood as Director, I was very impressed with it. The end was so sad.

thats really awesome! Christopher Nolan's work is always gold.

Battle of Five Armies 6/10

Love the tolkien universe, but this movie suffered from the same problem as the others

Probably going to rent birdman this weekend, been dying to see that movie.  Will update later
Horns - 6/10

whiplash    8.5

nightcrawler 8

gonegirl 7.5

Mulholland Drive - 6/10 - too weird for me. Normally I like movies that make me think but this one just left me confused and disappointed. I guess this is one of those ones where I have to read an explanation on the internet.

Mulholland Drive isn't a movie where you want to try and "understand" everything. There are certainly some underlying themes related to Hollywood culture, but as a whole, the movie plays on emotion. The first time I watched I had no idea what was going on, but I was still fixated on the characters and what they were going through. There was just something about it that resonated with a lot of people, hence the critical acclaim.

The Last Dragon 10/10

CULT CLASSIC MOVIES >>>>

Nightcrawler 8.5/10   I really enjoyed this movie. I feel like they did a great job on keeping you interested in the main character of this film throughout, also the acting in this movie by Jake Gyllenhaal was phenomenal. Would watch this many more times. definitely suggest you guys watching it if you have the time to.

American Sniper - 9/10

Bradley Cooper did an amazing job

RIP Chris Kyle and thank you for your service.

Tropic Thunder 10/10 - I KNOW WHO I AM

Probably #1 on my comedy movie list.

Grand Budapest Hotel - 8.5/10

The colors in this movie were absolutely beautiful.  You could turn the sound of the movie off and still be absolutely blown away by it.

Nightcrawler - really fucking solid / 10
American Sniper 7/10
Horns 9/10 had no clue what I was starting at first but I definitely wasn't disaapointed.
Last movie I saw was Nightcrawler and I feel the same way. Nice to see Gyllenhaal doing good. Always liked him since Donnie Darko.
Loved every minute of it

Ive had night crawler on my HD for a while now, still haven't watched it.

Last movie I watched....

Taken 3... 1/10

fkn trash lol

The first one was dope, second one was pushing it... but was okay in my books.

Whiplash 10/10 - Honestly this might be my favorite movie of all time. Just the feeling I had throughout this movie was amazing, The overall feel and msg I got from this movie is something I never felt while watching anything else. Miles Teller and JK Simmons knocked this movie out of the park with their characters/acting. If you have not seen this movie yet I highly suggest you give it a watch and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
