Name and Rate the Last Movie You Saw

Been watching(and re-watching) Black Swan. What a mind-fuck. I mean, it's like triple-penetration for the brain. Left me wanting more, hanging for a true ending. But god, it was crazy good. Like, literally crazy.

Absolutely a 9 out of 10.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron - Pretty badass especially when I went to see it in an IMAX theater. Fight scenes pretty legit and definitely playful banter amongst characters here and there. I'd give it a solid 8.5/10 at best.
LANGUAGE!!

I have no desire to the new Avengers. I'm so bored of superhero movies. They make so many now it's not any fun. The Dark Knight Trilogy are the best superhero movies in the past decade.

Last watched was G.I. Joe: Retaliation - 6/10. Watching Snake Eyes now.

I know what you mean, but I'd reccomend giving it a try. If you think GI Joe speaks for the whole of superhero movies, you're looking at it wrong. Those are for children and have a very small  fan base. Try avengers or guardians of the galaxy, if you haven't already. And try to get into some of the lore.

I know they are unrealistic, but that's the fun of it. Sure some movies like American Sniper and Imitation game are neat. But it feels good to escape reality sometimes.

i wasn't saying gi joe was a superhero movie. I was just saying that was the last movie I watched... I've seen all of the current   Superhero movies except for Man of Steel, Guardians of the Galaxy and the new Avengers.

You should check out Guardians 100%. Fun movie.

Avengers AoU: 7/10 The humor was poorly timed so now and then but the story was ok and the action scenes were great. Definitely an enjoyable movie!

Mad Max: 10/10

Fucking beautiful, little to no cgi (except the storm), simple but well executed plot, insane and inventive action, and a strong female action character.

I have to see the older ones now.

a goldmine

Those are for children . . . Try avengers or guardians of the galaxy. . .

ur a fucking moron. my god.

Mad Max FR had me grinning uncontrollably for half the movie, for 45% I was straight up maniacal, the other 5% I was recovering my eyes and anus.

Gonna see if I can grab that OST, Junkie XL did great, god damn son that film has to be a MASTAPEACE

Ok
Mad Max. Solid 9/10 go see it!
those are probably the best 3 to come out recently

Dragon Blade is the most hilarious movie in the history of cinema

Like, in this movie the eagles come before the 5 armies type hilarity

China, ya dun it again

Also Locke was proper good

Haven't seen Locke, but I definitely will.  It seems like Tom Hardy delivers in every role.
liked The Drop better, but as said above, Tom Hardy always delivers. Locke was still good though.
Pitch Perfect 2: Wasn't too bad but pretty decent for a sequel etc. Solid 7/10.

The Drop has to be on my top 3 list of 2014 movies.  Such a great and genuine atmosphere in that film!

Yeah the drop was solid, Hardy seems kinda gimmicky with the silent type roles but I cant help but like it

Ex Machina - 8.5/10

So erie.

yeah, it was very nicely done. i'd rate it a 8/10 as well. Acting wasn't all that tbh, not too bad, but not good either. although it was on her part, she did very well. But the story was sweet, ending was even better
Finally got around to watching The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. 9/10 - hilarious, absurd, meta as fuck, and Zooey Deschanel.

Mad Max- 6.5/10

-_- real

Kung Fury was great, did laff, exceeded all of my expectations and I LOVE 80s shit.

Rewatched Stranger Than Fiction today. The story is good, but the elegant way that it's told, and the relationship the characters of Will Ferrell and Maggie Gyllenhaal develops, makes it a brilliant film. 9/10 for me!
the searchers - still wondering why anyone would call this the "perfect movie"
25th hour: 6/10 Was honestly expecting more out of a movie that had Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Ed Norton.

just got done with watching It Follows, and i really liked it. This is definitely more the type of horror movie that i can enjoy. Had me on edge the entire time, made me quite uncomfortable, but in all the right places. Some things could have been done different (better?) imo, but the cinematography and the feel of the movie were on point. probably gonna watch the Babadook next, maybe tomorrow. should be good. as well, although i've heard from people that it wasn't all that (but they also didn't like it follows), but have read some pretty good stuff as well. Heard that, like it follows, it is different than all the other horror movies (more artsy and tense building) so im sure i'll like it as well.

also, if people watched it follows; i heard people complained about this scene online a lot, but when i watched the movie i got a completely different vibe from it than they did

the secene with the red ball, where it hit the window as jay was checking herself out. Most people said it was a jumpscare without any substance as the little kid was spying on her neighbor and threw the ball, which wouldn't have made sense if he was spying in the first place. So the ball came practically out of nowhere.
But what i got out of that scene, was that 'it' was waiting below the window (not the neighbor kid) and threw the ball, in the hopes that jay would open the window to check it out and thereby allowing 'it' to get close enough to touch and kill her (like, a couple scenes prior that guy explained that 'it' was slow, but smart (and this would have been quite smart knowing one is slow)).
Tried to google this theory, but couldn't find anything about it. apart from 'jumpscare when the kid was spying'. So, what do you guys think? I might have been completely off, but that scene really got me on my nerves because of how i interpreted that, and really wouldn't have if wat the majority is saying is true.

lol its not a bad score, it means its above average in my opinion. it seems like half you guys rate movies by "its a pretty good movie, 10/10"

it follows was good but it's overrated in the sense that it really isn't THAT different from other modern horror movies tbh. still, the scene in the fucking bedroom with the tall guy walking in was scary as shit

Mad Max made a full movie length car chase one of the most manicly entertaining movie experiences in years. Its not getting a 90+ rating on rotten tomatoes for shits n giggles. Not giving out high ratings for movies is lame, when something is good and you loved it for what it was then go ahead. Were not fucking high brow movie critics here with an education in every subtelty of screenwriting, directing and camera work.

sorry for not liking the movie as much as you. let me say that i enjoyed the movie, but i wouldn't give it more than a 6.5

rotten tomatoes does their scores by how many critics liked the film vs disliked the film. it doesn't surprise me that 90% of critics liked the film because it was an enjoyable movie regardless if you're a fan of action movies. that's not the same as saying it was a 9/10 though.

lol i am definitely the last person to pretend to have a film degree, but i know what i love and i know what i just like. it's not like i sat there with my friends and didn't enjoy it or acted cool for not liking it as much as Apocalypse Now or some shit.

Babadook didn't let me down

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (US) - 9/10

Anyone read the book trilogy? Wondering if I could skip straight to the second book without reading the first.

Haven't read the books. But I advise you to watch the Swedish film trilogy. It should be good with subs as well!
Agreed. Haven't seen the US one yet, so i can't compare, but the swedish movies are good.

Spy - 8/10

not gut busting, but lots of giggles. Pretty solid action and violence.  Being a Melissa McCarthy movie, I came in with low expectation, came out surprised. Could see it being a series.

My only complaint is the cliche predictable ending. But I suppose it's a joke on typical action movies.
