Donald Trump (and other election 2016 talk)

Does anybody here actually support him?  And if you do, why?

Genuinely curious.

He can doubleshot
How much bashing am I gonna get for this? I side with him on some things. Mainly gun control, foreign policy (military spending, drones, refugees), immigration (he isn't going to build a million foot wall to keep Mexicans out), environment issues including addressing global warming and offshore drilling. When it comes down to the final vote, he'll most likely get mine.

what sky

eat rat poison rn
Just let me be crazy with him.

Do you share that view with him on climate change?

Made by the Chinese? No. i think it's a natural occurrence. It just needs to be addressed. Look, I'm honestly not the guy to argue with about politics, I look at whatever the candidates have to say and side with one. I'm not walking around with trump stickers on my car and CANT STUMP THE TRUMP shirts.
I think climate change is an issue and should be addressed however people need to realize its a natural part of Earth's life cycle. This happened in late 90's and people flipped out and now its happening again but this time some things can be affected. So we should do things to help, we should worry about the amount of pollution we put out and what not but we shouldn't make that our primary focus like the Obama administration. ISIL, Illegal immigration and the China threat are all serious issues that should be addressed alongside of climate change.
hilarious thanks

I hope you're joking.

I can't vote for Trump because he's such an asshat, but I can't vote for Bernie or Hillary based on principle.

Thanks Obama.

<never bothered to register because every candidate since I've been of voting age is utter shit
please dont bomb us, we're only little
.

I like some of Trump's ideas and I hate people saying he is stupid because he is technically smarter than every other candidate with an IQ of 160. However I don't support democracy in any way shape or form. I consider my self a National Socialist.

So in the end I don't support any candidate.

ok

I hope this was a poor attempt at a joke

lol

he is technically smarter, even though he is very stupid politically, i'd give you that. He is unfiltered, which isn't a bad thing. But he says very dumb things with little to no explanation, but think about this. What if he is using persuasion tactics to appeal to the average stupid american?

EDIT: Not saying Americans are stupid, but the stupid Americans who vote for Trump.

You know Donald Trump's IQ?  I'd love a reputable source.  You also know all the other candidate's IQs?

Well no shit, that's his entire campaign.  Fear mongering and speaking in as few syllables as possible with simple sentence structure and always ending his sentences with his scary buzz words.  Sure he doesn't have a filter, but that doesn't imply that what he's saying holds any merit.  He speaks at a 4th grade level (intentionally) and blatantly lies, always trying to sell what he's saying like any good businessman, but almost never answering the question's he is asked or engaging in any meaningful rhetoric.

Great! I'm glad we see eye to eye on this topic. I don't support Donald Trump man, I am just explaining why I think some people vote for him. You are 100% right with the 4th grade reading level and his blatant lies. However, I agree with some policies he holds. I believe illegal immigration is a problem and it needs to be fixed. I am fine with immigration just not ILLEGAL immigration. A wall won't work either because its a fantasy lol. I also believe in the 2nd amendment.

That's all. I don't want to be targeted as a Trump supporter when im not.

Yeah Trump is pretty crazy.  Anyways, racial chauvinism, what could possibly go wrong?

dude I collect Wehrmacht shit and my bloodline is full German. you're probably one of those stormfront faggots.

kind of curious about this, if his IQ really is 160 then he's really putting up a great act lol.
I always assumed he's just a brainless moron like the people who support most of his ideas, I laughed so hard when I read what he said about Belgium & Brussels. As someone who lives there, it's kind of hilarious. Like I wouldn't be able to walk around the streets without speaking Arabic...

Storm front is also cancer. Also grats on being German. Specifics of race don't matter though in true National Socialism. A lot of soliders in the SS and Wehrmacht were Black, Indian and Jewish.
He does have an IQ of 160, he is a very successful business man, he dumbs down his speeches and plays mind games to gain support.

testing for a high IQ does not mean one is smart.

“The psychologist Michael Cole and some colleagues once gave members of the Kpelle tribe, in Liberia, a version of the WISC similarities test: they took a basket of food, tools, containers, and clothing and asked the tribesmen to sort them into appropriate categories. To the frustration of the researchers, the Kpelle chose functional pairings. They put a potato and a knife together because a knife is used to cut a potato. “A wise man could only do such-and-such,” they explained. Finally, the researchers asked, “How would a fool do it?” The tribesmen immediately re-sorted the items into the “right” categories.”

The best way to understand why I.Q.s rise, Flynn argues, is to look at one of the most widely used I.Q. tests, the so-called WISC (for Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children). The WISC is composed of ten subtests, each of which measures a different aspect of I.Q. Flynn points out that scores in some of the categories—those measuring general knowledge, say, or vocabulary or the ability to do basic arithmetic—have risen only modestly over time. The big gains on the WISC are largely in the category known as “similarities,” where you get questions such as “In what way are ‘dogs’ and ‘rabbits’ alike?” Today, we tend to give what, for the purposes of I.Q. tests, is the right answer: dogs and rabbits are both mammals. A nineteenth-century American would have said that “you use dogs to hunt rabbits.”

“If the everyday world is your cognitive home, it is not natural to detach abstractions and logic and the hypothetical from their concrete referents,” Flynn writes. Our great-grandparents may have been perfectly intelligent. But they would have done poorly on I.Q. tests because they did not participate in the twentieth century’s great cognitive revolution, in which we learned to sort experience according to a new set of abstract categories.

running w this logic, you could argue that it is obvious that trump's cognitive home is not "the everyday world"; his cognitive home is itself already something detached, abstract, and hypothetical. (in what way are dogs and rabbits alike? would here be answered from the standpoint of someone who thinks in terms of economy, and one can see why, on our modern wisc tests, such an answer would score well).

Yikes, nothing like completely ignoring our human capacity for openness and creativity.

Blatantly ignoring his speech on how important the arts and creative fanatics are.
I agree testing for a high IQ doesn't make you smart, many respectable people have stated this such as Stephen Hawking. What I am saying is that he isn't an idiot. He knows a lot and his brain is far above the average in critical thinking.
