Faze clan

Are you 12?

He is the only halo player in a clan with over 3mil subs, which is honestly a brand by now. How are you gonna try to insult him with that lol?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure some people are just grasping for reasons to complain at this point. The music, the intro, it's all fine.

Yup. Back in the day FaZe may have been some call of duty kids trickshotting bullshit but now they are a legitimate gaming organisation which sponsor a large number of players in different games.

They just picked up a pro CS:GO team with the players that used to make up G2 I believe? May be wrong but the point stands they are just a legitimate sponsor nothing else...

You just made a thread and wrote, "Let's play halo 3 on MCC and get our 50's like it's 2008."

I find it slightly ironic that you would call someone 12 while asking people to do something with you that you did when you were probably about 12.

at least he doesn't make threads faking his own death to try and stay relevant on a forum or some shit

oh wait...

Some of these clips man... how DOOO you DO it??? lol

Excellent, excellent video.

Ok so here's my first official review for the 2016 movie contest.  I'm going to watch each montage twice to get better analysis of each entry.  Let's see how this goes.

It's nice to see how far you've come over the years Kampy.  I still remember back in 2009 when you made a name for yourself with your 4th Halo 3 montage.  And then you came out with Apex, which was supposed to be your final at the time, and a lot of people really enjoyed it.  If I remember correctly you came in 2nd place in that year's movie contest, barely losing to Dualtality in the final round.  I do like seeing all these companies and sponsors you've partnered up with, but I hope you never forget the website where you've first established your career and the forums that helped make you popular in the Halo community.

Now on to the video itself.  I have never played a single minute of Halo 5 so you'll have to forgive my ignorance when it comes to the names of maps, weapons, and spartan abilities.  The game never warranted enough of my interest to find out all of these things as a spectator.

The introduction here is pretty weak, just seems to be a placeholder for advertisements instead of a showcasing to your audience.  Fraze Krampy is a funny gamertag though.  Maybe I'm missing something but why is that first clip there?  Just seems like an ordinary no scope double kill to me.  I do not really understand the clip emphasis at the 1:31 mark?  It looks like a Ground Pound into a ninja for a double.  Is ground pounding someone in H5 a clutch or skillful maneuver?  Through all the jumps cuts and sync points I' seeing here, it still does not detract from the fact that your opponents cannot seem to find you, shoot you, or damage you at all.  The only reason I bring this up is because for me, all the tension is gone in this type of gameplay.  If I already know going in that every single player you're facing off against does not have the ability to harm you, then the plays become meaningless and stale.  There's no drama or tension because I know that you are going to steamroll everyone, I feel like too much of this hurts the viewer experience.   I almost want to say that I agree with Shif7eh's and Chubbymax's posts in this thread, but I'm not going to be that extreme.  I've seen quite a few H5 montages and I do think that this is most certainly one of the better ones.

These killionaires are nifty but I think I expected more from the editing side of things, especially for the level of a montage competition.  After writing this, the only clip I can recall is the bank shot for the overkill on that Headlong remake.  I feel like I'm being too negative here so I want to address what I did enjoy about this montage.  The angles were great as usual, the syncing was clean,  and you are, without a doubt, the best at making killionaires seem so effortless.  The music was pretty easy to groove to as well.  Not many people talk about your skill as an editor enough.

After watching the video a second time I am left wondering what was the author's intent or goal?  Was it to produce quality content, or was it just to put something out there for the purposes of just having something submitted?  Kampy, as someone who is deservedly well favored in both the social montage community as well as the competitive tournament community, I expect a little more.  I would have liked to see more high stakes gameplay, stream captures or online tournament clips on known players is the sutff that I was hoping for.  I guess what I'm saying is that this entry felt very cut and dry, and it did not give us any insight to who you are as a person or player.  However, I would not be surprised if you came out with a more serious project in the near future and blew everybody away with it.  I guess time will tell.

Yep, one normally underate a (H5) montage because you never played the game. That is a mistake, i really want to work on too.

He shot that little wall, so it will go down and the enemy can't hide anymore. Pretty swag clip if you ask me. Also that whip was nasty. If you watch the beginning of kampys Halo Reach Montage 2, you will see similar lower multis with sick shots. I love that he highlights those little plays.

The only reason I bring this up is because for me, all the tension is gone in this type of gameplay.

it looks like he is sliding towards the wall and this launches him in the air. Not my favourite clip too but it looks good.

Oh ok I see now. Thank you explaining that to me.

The ground pound clip is actually one of the harder to pull off. The emphasis was pretty well deserved. The thrust launch that he did is a pretty difficult one, and I'd put a ground pound around the same difficulty as sticking someone close range or a no-scope beatdown. Not the hardest thing in the world, but definitely something worth showcasing.

I hope that lack of knowledge of H5 on the part of the judges isn't going to hurt entries that feature it. There are a lot of cool (and fairly difficult) mechanics in H5, especially movement mechanics like the thrust launch, that give H5 clips that feature them major style points IMO.

awesome video
