8 years later and you're all still here?

ah man I remember seeing your name (dano) around the forums. 

I'm 25 now, wtf dude. Just binged last night watching a bunch of CSS and halo montages that used to get my creative juices going. Im really glad I got into all that though because now I'm a filmmaker, specifically a video editor and hoping to make short films in the next few years that make some noise. So as a side effect I got interested in filmmaking, and know the ins-and-outs of cameras, cinematography, etc. 

But now I'm a UX designer, kinda unrelated. Also writing a novel. I miss the days of just not knowing how to kill time. Nowadays every second is so precious. Dont really come here anymore but im glad to see the forum is still kicking. I miss playing halo 1, thats what brought me to this forum.

Lol erocka and kiko, that was one of the times VIP got more craycray than Ex forum.

Dude i know right!?, mlg charlotte showed up in my recommended on youtube the other day and i had to see if this site was still about :). Already tried tracking down some old friends but no joy as of yet, would be crazy to get in touch with some of them again like. Im all good thanks man :) getting by djing and running a few nights at the min, not major money but its enough for now. Had to get the halo collection thing so i could play some h2 again man but im so shit now haha. Gonna smoke a bowl n jump on if anyone wants to join ;) haha much love everyone.

MsTk using NG's account to rep bomb mike was fun.

Rep was such a cesspool of lulz, probably my best round of being somewhat funny was during rep's first months. Somehow my calling card became horse images, the cheap route to rep.

Its pretty funny the only person I ever met from halo/haloforum was from the US, living in a country the size of a shoe filled with halo players.

Nothing interesting ever happens anymore so there's no real reason to ever come back for those not interested in Halo. The only reason I ever visit this place is because this had been my home for nearly a decade.

I login like once a month to check what is going on. But I'm mainly on Reddit and Facepunch. I really don't like the layout here and it's hard to find stuff so it doesn't keep my attention much. Also haven't played Halo in years.

 

My 27th birthday is coming up. It's a depressing thought. I still feel 16.

yeah i miss this site sometimes but the community that was here is not gonna come back. i remember when i first joined everyone said it was not what it used to be, but now it's like REALLY not what it used to be. this current layout isn't great and halo is pretty irrelevant. i still pop in every now and then though to see what's up.

 

on the topic of kiko and erocka-- i knew nothing about kiko and had no reason to think she was lying, but i am pretty sure we figured out erocka was not real. people started suspecting she was a guy, so she rage quit the board after she posted nudes as "proof" she is a girl. the nudes she posted were linked back to a popular tumblr porn account. 

anyway this place was pretty funny back in the day. the community was awesome and there is some ridiculous lore here.
