Halo: General Discussion
HwnT is prob the most 'famous' montage kid around now a days. So insane how fast he blew up with his Minecraft stuff.
https://www.youtube.com/user/mlgHwnT < 667k subscribers. Works for/with/at Philip DeFranco's youtube company now. Doesn't do Minecraft anymore, just a 'personality'.
I don't fucking know what Zola did to it, but he uploaded it himself just now. I asked for a download to go along with it.
edit: And he's going to when he hits 6k subs. A little over a hundred more to go, so for anyone interested, check out the tutorial series he has been doing for the past month (?) or so, and help sharing it by liking (and of course subscribing if you haven't already). I think this is something everyone wants to get a hold of and keep backed up on their hard disk for all of eternity.
I think his vision ran deeper than simply using the very best gameplay he was offered. There are so many tiny details that make sure that every clip fits exactly where he put them, and the way he pulls off his transitions between clips shows that especially well. I'm not going to go into detail and point out why everything he did was brilliant, but if you look closely for yourself you should be able to catch things that you might just gloss over in a single watch. The lower end clips also help put more emphasis on the higher end clips, so that's something to point out too.
This is the players legacy for Halo 3, but more than that, it's Zola's legacy. The editing is slightly more important than the gameplay, and that's how it should be.
Beach Lan 5 (Halo CE) is going on right now. August 6-13. Here's a link to the live stream:

Nistic's looked really good so far.
