I shouldve stuck to gameplay editing but people kept asking me for shit lol, oh well it's fun to look back on

Also Ohm Productions, really.. didnt remember that bit. glad I quit that shit lol

Everyone should strive to play like Xyox in a 1v1

also a hint to who im making my next dual with, wink wink

Made a video with clips from "Halo: Revolution" beta, a series of maps for CE.

Crazy what mods can do for a game that came out in 2001.
Got this just now, and this map is now my favorite Halo map of all time. Playing BTB on it is truly breathtaking. The howling winds, and the huge distances and the tiny movements. Stunning.

If that's what you're doing it'd be nice if you would edit it to match that, noobtages are often edited in a lighthearted way + you can tell by it being multi team or BTB which are known as party/non serious playlists.  Your tages like Last Wish are edited just like tryhard 1v1 tages with seriously toned sountracks and all.

I dont care how you play the game, I do care that I still have to watch every 1v1 vid like a nazi to see if Im actually watching a tage of clips in real 1v1 games or a 'teamtage' where  a couple of people are playing together getting 1v1 clips.

Im all for doing what you like and making the vids you want but when it muddies the pool I'm gonna be annoyed. People dont post that my clips arent legit on videos for no reason, they do it because they're used to 1v1 vids where people are just fucking around to the point of staging clips so they assume everyone is.

Like Ive said before I've also played montage games to some extend where I made getting clips more of a part of the game than I should have, altho I was still trying to win, it was hard to get around that kind of playstyle in 2007/08. And yet we've done good work in getting 1v1 tages back to appreciating legit clips since then. The playstyle of people like Frozen showing you can have fun competitive matches and get great clips in the process.

I'm aggressive, I'm easily bored and I like sick clips so my ideal play style is to take a big risk a couple times a game,  or try a stupid spawnstick or launch a few times a game, move around the map and find interesting positions to put myself in etc. all fine as long as the other guy is trying to win and thus punishes me for doing stupid shit/it's legit.  Clips get infinitely better because of it too.

You say "whether you consider them as clips or not is up to you" but when you present them the same way as legit clips how are we supposed to make that distinction?

+1

What you know about Fr0zen?
clips towards the end were really good.

Idk if any of you care about cod but whatever

That looks like so much fun. Very nice man.
Enjoyable as always, Sucky. You need to start making threads for these videos.

Playing this way opens up a lot more possibilities in getting other kinds of clips, whether you consider them as clips or not is up to you.

Yea but then the clips aren't legit. When you say "opens up possibilities" what you really mean is "the other guy is going to let me try whatever I want, not kill me when I'm going for something cool, notice my barrel launch is flying in a certain direction but 'happen' to strafe over there so it has a chance of landing on my head (hate that last one) and in exchange he will do the same for me." It's a fancy, long winded way of saying half-staging.

I'll literally 25-2 the people that play like that every time. It's happened plenty and it's so boring because they see me, KNOW that I've seen them and proceed to ignore me while they throw their mega launches. I usually just snipe them right before they throw the launch to see if I can make them annoyed enough to try to kill me but they never seem to care rofl. Just continue to get 1 kill a game and just throw nades for an hour.

Also idk where you guys have been, but using those arms above top blue to launch nades around the ceiling is some 2007 stuff. We used to hold down top blue so when we killed the other guy we could try to make it spawn stick them to open ramp (we were using the opposite side that Blackout was using in the clips he posted). But damn, watching those clips have probably ruined any 1v1 clip I'll see from you guys lol, if that's any indication of how you play.  I'm not knocking you guys personally necessarily, since I understand my preference is a preference and I can't say the way you're playing is "wrong." I'm just the opposite of your target audience.

I've never understood the appeal for those kinds of clips. But then again it's like the same thing when I find out a prank video turns out to be fake. It removes and and all funniness and entertainment value out of it. But then you have people going, "Who cares if it's fake, it was still funny!" When it's like, "Dude. It's not still funny. The whole punch line was that he was picking girls up with lines from Pokemon. If they were just actresses, he didn't even REALLY do it wtf."

Wanny and Xyox, please don't make assumptions about me based off of a single 1v1 clip someone else posted. That was literally a single 1v1 game where I decided to adjust my playstyle to blackout's so it would be fun for both of us. Obviously I would never use a clip from a game like that. I hope this silliness won't deter you from watching the 1v1 videos I'll be releasing in the future.

What you know about Fr0zen?

that he made cool videos + I was told he was legit and his gameplay reflected that, so I used him as an example.

Whoa there, where'd all this sodium come from? Sorry that every game isnt super sweaty guys, my bad for having fun on a video game lmao. If people want to play serious 1v1s; I play serious, but when its like 3am who really cares?  And no, it's not like we weren't killing each other, its just sometimes funny shit happens, like a 'that really just happened moment'. You guys need to loosen up a bit haha

I never ever help others getting clips, and I get pretty mad if they do. because that ruins the clip 100%, I have plenty of those stored.
What I do is, and i know a lot people still don't like this, but it's totally not the same thing, go a lot more for clips.
I think I basically do the same thing as multi team montagers. I grab snipe & stickies and I go for clips, usually on noobs because there simply are almost no skilled players on H2V.

helping is staging, and that is something I think is retarted, because it takes away all skill in the clip.
I admit that I'll hit a lot more clips because I try a lot more to get them, but the skill it takes for certain clips (I'm talking about most of the snipes) is legit IMO.
I'm also familiar with 360 random bxr's some people do every second and "eventually you'll hit it but then it's just luck".
But that's not the way I snipe, again imo.

I still respect the normal legit 1v1 montages a lot, I rate them higher than mine kind of montages, but I simply can't make those for the number of reasons I've said earlier, so I stick with what I like.

My first actual Orbital clip. Felt too good.

In case anyone is bored and/or likes to watch random Halo 2 clips, here's a 9 minute video of mostly unused minitage-quality clips from ~2007.

It's chill, not gonna write you off or anything

Not ragging on you for having fun or for the way you play. Just that clips gotten in those games should not be viewed the same way as legit clips.

Super old clip, but short & sweet x)

This has always pissed me off.  Ive been called a try hard for literally just shooting my BR...how the fuck is that trying? And god forbid I tag someone with snipe and clean them up with BR. When I 1v1 if I dont have snipe I pretty much just hold forward trying to kill the guy to get snipe. Theres no strategy or crouching and shit.  I still go for launches and shit.  Its still plenty of fun
